Despite the travel industry being brought to a halt throughout the pandemic, Jawa Campers and Explorate have been able to give over 1000 people the opportunity to explore what Australia has to offer.Over the past two years, Jawa Campers have been growing their business with Explorate, arranging over 133 shipments with 746 campers and trailers sent from China to Australia.

How Explorate and Jawa Work Together

As an early adopter of the Explorate App, Jawa Campers work closely with the Explorate team to direct the evolution of our product based on their needs.Last year, our Product Specialist Lyndsay, visited Jawa Campers to discuss how their supply chain was managed and how Explorate could add value to their mission and customers. This is the story of how our sharable shipments feature came to be.

Sharable Shipments

Sharable shipments is a feature available to everyone using the Explorate app that has enabled Jawa with the tools to keep their customers informed of their caravans at every step of the journey.Like Explorate, Jawa believes in providing their customers with transparency.

"Jawa Campers do not hide the fact that our Campers & Trailers are imported from China. But what we do to these campers once they arrive is what makes us different from the rest."

Jawa has a designated engineering team in China who only build the JAWA campers.

Once a vessel is on the water, Jawa sends the Shareable shipment link to their customers, allowing their customers to live track where their caravan is, and start planning their travels.

Once the campervans arrive in the Jawa Caboolture Workshop, the camper will be continuously worked on for 7-10 days.

Finally, the customer is free to explore the open road and traverse the country's beauty from the comfort of their Jawa camper van.

The Future of Travel

The travel industry is one of the industries most heavily impacted by COVID-19, with the way people travel changing radically, even after the coronavirus has run its course. After two years of unpredictable and restless lockdowns, we are craving freedom and independence more than ever before. With travellers looking for sustainable and cost effective alternatives to international travel, camper vans are booming in popularity.Camper vans are no longer just for the rugged adventurers and nomads, with thousands of Australians jumping behind the wheel for a unique expedition.
